My life gets better
After 6 months I got promoted to the next rank, which was Leading Aircraftsman. For the next promotion you had to take a special Mechanics test and pass 3 parts of Education. I did this and passed and was promoted again to the next rank.
Now I was a Senior Aircraftsman. I was always getting shouted at by one of the Balloon Operator Corporals. He had been in the service a long time and seemed to take pleasure in shouting at me in front of the other men. One of the perks of being a Corporal was when there was anything that involved lining up, they were allowed to go to the front of the line. There is reason for me saying this, and I will explain later. It involved this Corporal.
